A postscript to the February 2022 newsletter

In my last newsletter, I thanked members of the last Council who were not elected to the current Council.

I thanked Tom for for introducing the Declaration of Climate Emergency, for his fight for Mosman's independence in the battle against local government amalgamations and for his work on solutions for waste.

It was brought to my attention, however, that I had thanked retiring councillor David Cook for his work on a finding a solution for turf at Middle Head Oval, but neglected to mention Tom's very significant research. Tom researched the problems of synthetic turf and the preferred solution of natural turf. Tom has now shared his research with the Natural Turf Association which is campaigning against synthetic turf in numerous Sydney local government areas.

We now add that thanks to our great appreciation for what Tom achieved for Mosman during his thirteen years on Council.
