In 2019 Mosman Council, encouraged by Mosman Parks & Bushland, applied for and received a grant through our Federal member, Zali Steggall to create a bush corridor on the slopes between Alexander Avenue and Rawson Oval. The area adjoins the Bradley Bushland Reserve, a reserve with particular relevance to our Association and where our members volunteer for bush regeneration.

Council prepared the site by clearing the weeds, terracing the slope and preparing it for planting with natives.

The grant was contingent on the participation of MPBA. Volunteers with support from Mosman Council’s Hugh Wyllie worked in socially distanced groups over eight sessions to complete the task in June 2021.

A celebratory morning tea was held on the site in December 2021 for with Zali Steggall, Mosman Mayor Carolyn Corrigan, Council staff and MPBA members.
